In 1938, a small group of dedicated adults started meeting with Carl Stotz to talk about bringing youth baseball to their community in Williamsport, PA. Those dedicated volunteers did everything -- from finding sponsors to recruiting players to drafting the rules of the organization that would become Little League.
Since the first Little League game was played on June 6, 1939, volunteers have been the heartbeat of the organization. From that small group of dedicated men and women in central Pennsylvania to the present, more than 1 million adults have dedicated their time, efforts and talents in more than 80 countries around the world.
Little League's volunteers are some of the best in the world.
There are many ways to help!
Redmond West Little League depends on the mix of talents of our dedicated volunteers -- some of whom are completely new to baseball. There are many different ways to help, both at the level of each individual team and league-wide. And there is training and support to help you get started.
Please click the links below to find out more about the league-wide and team-specific volunteer roles. Baseball / softball knowledge is not required!
